The starting point for our world trip??

Dubai

A fascinating country!

The first step into our new life.

Great anticipation is building, and the planning for this amazing trip begins.

Flights and hotels are searched for and booked immediately without hesitation. (Without checking where the hotel is, but more on that later.)

Of course, we wanted to experience as much as possible.

There are so many sights and so much to explore that it's really hard to decide.

We watched a lot of videos and read countless articles about Dubai.

Everything was incredibly interesting, and we found a lot of it useful.

New sights kept appearing, and we realized we couldn't possibly see everything.

So, naturally, the question arises:

What can we possibly accomplish in the next 14 days?

First, we'll write down everything that's possible and that we think we might enjoy.

And so much came up that we realized during the planning phase that it would be impossible to fit it all into just one vacation.

But one thing was absolutely certain: we absolutely had to go up the tallest building in the world.

“The Burj Khalifa”

This includes what is probably the most beautiful fountain show you have ever seen.

The Frame, the world's largest picture frame, should also be included.

The Dubai Mall and the world's largest Ferris wheel were, of course, also on our itinerary.

The Gold and Spice Souks, combined with the historic center of Dubai, are simply a must-see.

(That's what we thought before our trip.)

But we didn't want to focus solely on sightseeing; we also wanted a bit of adventure on our vacation.

Cable car rides between the skyscrapers - check out this awesome video! -, a desert tour with quad biking and camel riding were selected and booked directly through Get your Guide.

And our dream of visiting the world's highest swimming pool should also come true.

We then got some tips online for restaurants, including one for a really great fish restaurant.

We could start packing, which was difficult for us at first because we were only allowed to take 7 kg per backpack.

But we managed that too!

And then the time had come, one week after we moved out of our house, we started a new life.

You can find out how our time in Dubai went and how we liked it in our next post.

And here you can read why we chose a different country as our basecamp.
